How can I find a girlfriend, I never get out?

Now that I’m 17 and in college my father is beginning more and more to give me advice on dealing with girls..but the thing is my parents don’t let me go anywhere!

For example this August monday weekend I’m gonna be (once again) fishing with my parents…despite the fact that my parents and I had planned a house party at a friends house. The guy lives by a river so it would have been a sort of river party too (with girls of course).

But of course once again, I’m not allowed to go. Man I wish for once my parents would allow me to spend a holiday doing something non family oriented.

I really hope that I get a scholoarship to go straight to university after college cuz i am friggin fed up of living like this. Like a friggin hermit studying working, spending breaks where I could be hanging out….at home.

And above all that they still havethe nerve to tell me I spend too much time on the computer….well duh!?! I’m at home all day!

(oh and I’m not a fat douche either, there’s a gym in the house (yay)
And I’ve not made anyt irresponsible decisions..in fact I’ve practically inherited my father’s cautious attitude…he know s this! and still doesn’t let me out!

I never had your problem, I was always aloud to do what I wanted. But you will be 18 soon, an adult, and your parents will not be able to tell you what to do anymore.

Warn your parents about the dangers of being socially under-developed and how it can harm your education, future career and partnership prospects. Do this in a mature manner and they may see that as you’re being adult about this you can go out more.

Very simple my friend. GET AWAY FROM THE PARENTS! Tell them you need to spend time with friends, or you will become a social outcast. The girls will come in time. Good luck!

  7. is that so

    1. internet dating is not a real relationship it can’t be an option.

    2. don’t worry if you are not yet dating at seventeen because this only means one thing you’ve never met the girl that will make you go crazy.
i dated at a late age because we’ve not met yet then. she was even the last person i see in the room but ultimately i fell for her…do not be in a hurry. instead enjoy being a son to your parents because you’ll never know when they’ll be gone.

don’t be intimidated by peer pressure.

join a club – whatever you like doing

eg bushwalking/camping, singing, hey that computer stuff – check out something like joomla – clubs all over the place, and get out and meet people. Some of them will be female. Some of them might even like you! You should have at least one thing in common via the club.

Just tell those parents of yours you need to hang around with people of your own age! They obviously have brought you up well, so keep being nice to them!
